Suggested Practices #4
Reclaim Ease of Movement & Improved Posture
- Observe how your upper body and lower body relate, especially when you lean forward in your daily activities whether you are standing up or sitting down, getting in and out of your bed or in and out of your car. It could be how you garden or pick up objects requiring lunging. Those are only a few examples. Add to the list to help you remember.
- Commit to yourself that you will release your hip joint special spots using your thumbs whenever possible, just to strengthen this new neuron-pathway till the habit to round your back or fake joint progressively decreases.
- Make a point every evening to be grateful for every time this new teaching came to the rescue in a positive way. Be grateful every time you noticed after the fact that you forgot to use it. It is all part of the learning process. Every time you choose to redo a movement in a more integrated way, you are one more step away from your old pattern and one step closer to enjoying more integrated functioning.
