Content of this audio:

  • Start sitting on a chair and get up and sit down several times so you can observe how you habitually do it
  • Notice if it is effortless, fluid and light. And if not, what do you feel and where that makes you say your movement is missing something to be these 3 characteristics. 
  • Don’t make any assumptions. Any muscle you engage to move is an effort so count it as such.
  • Notice if you are pushing yourself up engaging your quads in the process. Notice if you engage your back or your core in a noticeable way. And notice if your vision is fixed or alive. Notice if your feet are grasping the floor when you get up or your toes lift up when sitting down.
